Burglary appeal: Can you help? |
||
Dear resident,
We are appealing to the Upton-upon-Severn community for information following a burglary Upton Baptist church, Old Street, Upton-upon-Severn . The burglary took place between 6.30pm on Tuesday 2nd September and 12.30pm on Wednesday 3rd September 2025. Unknown person/s managed to get in through a window and stole two black collection boxes and some food items from a food donation crate. Whilst gaining entry to the church and removing the collection boxes from the walls some damage was caused. It is not known how much money was in the collection boxes, but I think we will all agree that Upton Baptist Church is a great resource for the community with it being the local food bank, a place where a large amount of people go to use the facilities to make new friends, keep warm and a place of worship. The church has always been there to help others in their time of need and this burglary has meant that someone may not get the desired help that they require. I would urge anyone that saw anything suspicious or has any information that might help enquiries to make contact with myself by replying to this message or please get in touch with us by calling 101 and quoting incident number 22/81500/25. If you aren’t comfortable contacting us directly, you can pass on information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website: www.crimestoppers-uk.org Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime. Kind regards, PC Johns
